How do I know which protein shake to choose?

If you want to build muscle and burn fat, you need to consume around 1g of protein per pound that

you weigh, while at the same time making sure not to go over how many calories you consume.

I know what you're thinking (rice is a carb) but did you know brown rice contains around 8g of

protein per 100g ... WHICH is isolated and ground into powder! 

Ideal for vegans AND soy or gluten allergy friendly! 

  • not a complete protein source so you'll need other forms of protein to get all the essential amino acids!

    HEMP PROTEIN (I don't find ideal for muscle growth because it's low on leucine) 

    If you don't know what leucine is.. 

    Leucine is the most abundant of the 3 branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) in muscles (the other two

    are isoleucine and valine). BCAAs make up a high proportion of the amino acids in muscle.

    Leucine is an essential BCAA and your body does not produce this naturally so we must get it in other

    ways (like dietary sources)

    Ok.. back to hemp protein.. 

    It's derived from the seed of the cannabis plant 🌱 and is high in fiber!! 

    Not our favorite protein source but it's not a bad one and does well with people who have certain allergies. 

    PEANUT PROTEIN!! (Another great vegan option)

    Made from defatted peanuts and contains about 10-15g of protein per ounce. Peanut protein is also

    High digestible and contains all 9 essential amino acids (which makes it a complete protein). 

    A complete protein contains all 9 of the essential amino acids whereas an incomplete protein contains

    some but not all.
